The Man Who Knew Too Much

We watched The Man Who Knew Too Much the other evening. Specifically, we watched Hitchcock's second version, his first being in 1934. I thought this one was not bad, but it's not my favorite Hitchcock flick. Like The Birds, Rear Window, and Vertigo, it has a rich sense of setting—in this case, Morocco. What I dislike about this one is little Hank, the leading characters' son. He really is annoying and not at all well-played.

The Man Who Knew Too Much doesn't have the suspense or the eeriness that I usually associate with horror. It isn't hard to guess who the bad guys are. I'd call this one more of a thriller, or a drama.
