The lyrics to Frou Frou's song "Let Go," heard in the movie Garden State:
So, let go, so let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's alright
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So, let go, yeah let go
Just get in
Oh, it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
Nicolas Cage as Charlie Kaufman in Adaptation [paraphrased]:
You are defined by who you love, not who loves you.
Steve Jobs' commencement speech at Stanford:
Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important thing I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life, because almost everything—all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure—these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

Yeah, same sort of sentiment that I get from my favorite tea scroll (the one I got tattooed down my spine). Face death to recognize life.
